The Destination

Every cask has an ultimate destination

Whisky isn't made to sit forever in a warehouse — it's made to be poured, savoured, and shared. Cask Exit Partners exists to move your cask towards its natural end: being enjoyed.

"Whisky is made to be consumed — we help it find its way."
Your Cask Today

You own a cask

It's sitting in a bonded warehouse, accruing storage fees, and losing a little whisky to the angels every year. You want out — fairly, transparently, and with real money back.

Step 1 — Onboarding

Delivery Order + Transfer

Locate your Delivery Order, transfer your cask to our bonded warehouse (£450), and we verify it. Your cask gets a full audit pack — the foundation of every exit route.

Step 2 — Assessment

We assess your cask

Our team evaluates your cask's age, quality, distillery, LPA, and market demand. This determines which exit route makes most sense — and we advise you honestly.

Choose your exit route
Route 01
Bottle & Profit Share

We recommend bottling for casks with good quality whisky and sensible economics. Mini bottle samples are sent to our 1,000+ member subscribers to taste and place pre-orders. Your whisky is then bottled under our label and distributed through our retail network.

  • Cask assessed for bottling viability
  • Mini bottles sampled by 1,000+ subscribers
  • Pre-orders help plan the full bottling run
  • Bottled under our label with your name & story
  • Sold via our website, Amazon & gifting partners
  • Revenue shared with you after costs
Timeline: 12–18 months
Subject to bottling assessment · Best for 8+ year casks

Route 02
Re-rack → Bottling

Not every cask is ready to bottle straight away. If quality testing shows your whisky isn't at bottling standard, we re-rack the spirit into a carefully selected barrel to bring the quality up — then bottle when it's ready.

  • Quality tested against bottling standards
  • We advise on the right barrel to recover or enhance quality
  • Spirit re-racked into a sound, high-quality cask
  • Flavour enrichment options: rum casks, port pipes, sherry butts & more
  • Quality monitored until bottling standard is reached
  • Once ready — bottled via the same Bottle & Profit Share route
Why re-rack?
The right barrel can transform a struggling spirit into something genuinely worth bottling. This is how we get every cask to exit quality.

Route 03
Marketplace Resale

If you'd rather not wait for bottling, your verified cask can be listed on our marketplace. This is the fastest route to exit — ideal for owners who want to sell the cask as-is to collectors, distilleries, or institutional buyers.

  • Listed publicly on our verified marketplace
  • Cask valued every month by our team
  • Buyers can register interest or place bids
  • Transparent audit pack visible to all buyers
  • We broker the sale and handle all paperwork
  • Ownership transfers cleanly to the new buyer
Monthly valuation updates — buyers always see current market value

The Ultimate Destination

Every route leads here. Whether your cask was sold whole or bottled under your label — it ends up being consumed. That's the point. That's always been the point.

Our Distribution Network

From cask to consumer —
a clear route to market

Bottling a cask is only half the challenge — getting bottles into the hands of consumers is what matters. We've built a distribution network across three channels designed to give your whisky the best possible route to retail.

01

1,000 Member Subscribers

Our members receive mini bottle samples from casks approaching bottling. They taste, rate, and can place pre-orders for full-size bottles — helping us gauge interest and plan bottling runs accordingly.

Early interest from real consumers
02

Website & Amazon

Full-size bottles are listed on our own e-commerce store and the Amazon marketplace — giving your whisky access to direct-to-consumer channels across the UK and beyond.

Corporate Gifting

We work with corporate gifting companies who distribute mini bottles as premium gifts — building brand awareness and introducing your whisky to new audiences.

B2B distribution channel
A structured path to retail

Bottling is the hardest part of the cask investment journey — it's driven entirely by retail demand. Our approach is to build that demand systematically: mini bottles let consumers taste before committing, pre-orders help us plan production, and our multi-channel distribution gives bottles the widest possible reach.

Why this matters

The problem with whisky cask investment — and how we fix it

The problem
Many whisky cask investors discover that selling a cask is far harder than buying one. The market lacks transparent pricing, there is no central marketplace, and most cask owners have zero visibility on what's happening to their investment. Worse still, some owners pay storage fees for years on casks that were never where they were told. They're relying entirely on a broker's word — and hoping for the best.
Our approach
We actively manage your cask throughout its life with us — scheduled regauge checks, re-racking when needed, angel's share monitoring, and condition reporting. When it's time to sell, every exit route ends in consumption — not another speculative transfer. Independent analysis and ongoing quality assurance protect your investment from day one.
The result
Your cask is actively monitored and protected — not just stored. You get a fair price. Buyers get a fully documented, audit-ready asset. The whisky gets consumed. That's what makes Cask Exit Partners different — active cask management and bottling expertise, not just brokerage.
